The normalized steel components have lower hardness and showcase superior ductility allowing the steel to be worked in different media. The process of changing the grain structure of the S235 Jr+n Plate helps improve the strength of the grade by making the overall structure more uniform and thorough. These plates have higher resistance to residual stress and are less prone to failure.

The S235jr N Plate is designed in thickness between 6mm to 200mm and can be used in construction applications to provide good support and stability. The major setback of this plate is that it cannot be heat treated. S235jrn equivalent material is the low carbon GB Q235B steel grade.
